Department of Information Technology was established in the year 2001. The annual intake of UG and PG programmes are 60 and 18 students respectively. The Department is accredited by NBA. Greater emphasis is given for hands on experience to familiarize the students with concepts that inculcate the technical skills in students.The branch has attracted lot of young talents wanting to make a mark in this field. Information Technology being the buzzword over the last decade, extreme care has been taken to design the syllabi keeping in minds the latest trends and developments.Department has separate library and has 523 books, digital study material etc. Books of the library are issued to the Faculty. Students can refer and read in the library.The department has effective counseling by staff based on the performance in internal exams, special descriptive exams and on previous performance in university exams. The HOD and the class mentors take the student’s feed back four times in a Semester. The students can freely express their academic administrative and even personal problems and seek professional guidance.
The department has industry-academy collaboration with IT Industries through Infosys Campus Connect, Wipro Mission10x programmes for faculty and students.
